BRITNEY SPEARS to Host the Grand Opening of LAX Nightclub

ET has learned that BRITNEY SPEARS will host the grand opening of LAX nightclub at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas.

Club promoters tell ET exclusively that the pop princess is confirmed to make an appearance at the new club, which opens its doors to the public for the first time on Friday, August 31.

Britney also hosted a New Year’s Eve bash at Pure in Las Vegas. The success of the event prompted organizers to book her for the new opening.

Most recently, the “Toxic” singer also proved to be a huge draw for other club venues with her short string of performances at the House of Blues.

Let's just add them to the list of people who hate Britney's behavior.
Her purchase of a $3,000 Yorkie at a pet store in Beverly Hills over the weekend has the Humane Society distressed. It would appear to the organization that Britney made an impulsive decision to buy the dog, without considering the possibility that her purebred Yorkshire Terrier originated from a puppy mill.

In a press release, the Society's director of outreach for companion animals Stephanie Shain said: "Most dogs sold in pet stores come from puppy mills -- factory-like facilities, churning out purebred and "designer" puppies in large numbers...Every time someone purchases a dog from a pet store, they risk perpetuating the horrendous business of puppy mills."

I Don't understand why can't people let the poor girl live alone. I mean criticising her for every little thing??? If she got the Puppy, she is going to take care of it too. And infact, after that it lives or dies, what the mother of crap is f***ing problem. She has been a great mother and im sure she's going to take good care of the puppy too. It was a big mistake for that girl to say those words to Britney, and most importantly yelling at her that she's a "Whore".

Fake hair flew and breastesses were exposed outside Les Deux Saturday night as a group of alleged ladies got into a hardcore fight in the parking lot. Meow!

After Britney's exit cleared the area outside the Hollywood club, a pack of fierce fighters were foaming at the mouth to lay the smackdown on one unfortunate girl -- ferociously punching her head, pulling on her weave and exposing her jiggly bits to the cheering crowd. Hollywood is just teeming with lovely women!

Update: According to at least one reader of PinkIsTheNewBlog, the melee started when one of the ladies yelled "whore" at Britney Spears and screamed "go back home to your babies," as she pulled out of the Les Deux parking lot -- and the other women got into it to defend Brit's honor!

After the girls beat the crap out of each other, it was time for the boys to go at it. *ding ding ding!*

The parking lot of Hollywood hotspot Les Deux turned into an all-out, no-holds-barred rumble -- just moments after the catfight between a group of ever-so-classy ladies had ended. While the girls were recovering from ripped out hair extensions and torn clothing, some stunned and confused guys immediately began attacking each other with haymaker punches, metal chains, bottles and even belts. Way to accessorize!

The every-man-for-himself brawl finally broke up when one of the fighting females suddenly collapsed to the concrete -- with people on the street claiming she was knocked out by a man bolting full-speed through the parking lot.

Oh -- and just after the crowd dispersed and the chaos evaporated -- the cops showed up!

Britney Spears has applied to be a cocktail waitress at a Hollywood bar.

The ‘Toxic’ singer was drinking at hip hangout Les Deux with friends when she approached a manager and told him she wanted to wear a “sexy” corset and serve drinks.

The manager asked Britney to fill out an application form, before interviewing her for a job.

A source told Life and Style Weekly magazine: “Britney told one of the managers, ‘I really want to get a job here - I love the sexy red corsets the cocktail waitresses wear!’ and he said ‘Well, you should fill out an application then!’

“She filled out the application, including her work history, address, social security number, and then she went to a back room for an interview with the manager.

“Everyone thought she was joking, but she seemed dead serious.”

Kevin hired his private investigator last March- as soon as alcohol-abusing Britney came out of Promises Treatment Center in Malibu, revealed a source.

Britney Spears first album post rehab-breakdown-head shaving is scheduled to release this Christmas.

According to The Star she’ll bring out a new material before the end of 2007 along with fellow divas Jennifer Lopez and Dido.

Britney has been working with producers including Ne-Yo, Swizz Beats, Nate Hills and Pharrell Williams.

Fellow star Pink though will not be helping on the record. Despite writing for other singers she said: “I don't think she's crazy enough to do one of my songs.”

“But it's very hard for me to let go of my songs and the only people I write for are real singers - not that she's not a real singer, but she's more of an entertainer.”

The 25 year old has had many personal battles recently but obviously wants to get her career back on track.

According to contactmusic.com, the always opinionated Pink would prefer to write material for artists whose brash attitude can do justice to her tracks.

Pink says, "It's not because I don't like (Spears) - I do think she's crazy enough to do one of my songs. But it's very hard for me to let go of my songs and the only people I write for are real singers - not that she's not a real singer, but she's more of an entertainer.

A source has told X17 exclusively, that the reason behind Britney's week-long stay at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills is due to an investigation by Child Protective Services into the security at Britney's two homes in Bel Air and in Malibu.

Our sources tells us that the government agency has warned Britney that the pools at both homes are unsafe for young children because they do not have the required child safey barrier around them. (We're uncertain whether either home is equipped with door alarms that satisfy the state pool safety requirement.)

Given Britney and Kevin's ugly ongoing custody battle in which Kevin has reportedly refused to sign the divorce agreement because he is now seeking greater custody of the children (and therefore more $$$), I'm wondering if it's Kevin who alerted the state child welfare agency. Rumors have said he's resorting to dirty tactics in order to 'prove' Britney an unfit mother, which she most certainly is not.

Hollywood.com reported that Britney Spears has reportedly changed the terms of her will–in a bid to make sure her mother Lynne never gets custody of her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.
The pop star recently hand-delivered a motion she intends to make legal if her mother doesn’t stay away from her sons, and publicly revealed she’s “praying” for her mom.
Mother and daughter reportedly fell out when the singer discovered Lynne had been criticizing her parenting skills to friends and associates, according to the National Enquirer.
And now the publication has discovered bitter Britney has also changed her will, leaving her estate and her boys in teenage sister Jamie Lynn’s hands upon her death.

TMZ reports that the Pop Princess gave her mom a present today -- a lawyer's letter -- and mom was none too pleased.
The video was shot in Valencia, Calif. this afternoon on a film set where Britney's younger sister Jamie Lynn is working. There are reports circulating that the papers are a restraining order, but TMZ has confirmed that is NOT the case. It is a letter from an out-of-state lawyer.
Sources say Britney feels that her mom turned on her in the days before she entered Promises rehab. She also feels Lynne Spears is not stable enough to be around Brit's kids because she may have her own "issues."
Reports say,that the letter bluntly asks Lynne to stay away from the children if she is taking any medications that would impair her ability to be around them.
Spears has become super-protective of her kids and is taking back a lot of the control that others were exercising over her life.

Britney Spears is going to work with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake for her upcoming album!.
They report that she is going to record in them by the end of July, when Justin makes a break from his current world tour.
Timbaland adds that he wants to work in Britney and that her comeback album is going to get on tops.

I really hope that this time Timbaland will work with Britney, cause last time there were rumors swirling that Timbaland will be working with the Pop Princess, eventually it all turned out to be untrue.

A surprise performance might take place at Greek Theater in Los Angeles.
According to Tmz, Britney Spears sent an email to two of her new male dancers, that she kindly selected a few days ago, telling them that she would perform just one night, and needed them for the opening.

In Greek theater official website, you can see that “true colors” will perform that night, plus with a special appearance of Jeffree Star. They do not announce Britney, maybe because it was supposed to be a “surprise” like the House of Blues mini concerts.

Leslie Sloane: "Brit’s Album Is Pushed Until ’08"Britney Spears wacky style is just one problem the troubled pop star is facing these days. Brit’s on-again, off-again rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, tells Life & Style that the release of Britney’s new album — which she seems to have been working on forever and was due out this fall — has been delayed until sometime in 2008.“I put her on hiatus,” Zelnik says. “Brit’s album is pushed until ’08. If she has no album, there’s no reason to do anything. I’m representing her in theory right now. I said that since the album is pushed back until ’08, let’s go on hiatus until we have a campaign to do.”A music-industry insider says the album is delayed because Britney’s struggling creatively.

"I'm surprised the album wasn't pushed back to ’09 — everything's up in the air with the album right now," the insider says. "Jive [Records, Brit's label] hated the songs Britney was coming up with, except for a few. The executives are not happy. And she didn't want to listen to anyone. Everything was a problem for her. They wanted her to work with certain people, and she wanted the opposite."
